The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers an intermediate English as a Second Language class.

An informal group for all levels of crocheters. We are primarily a crochet group, but knitters are welcome.

The Read and Sing Story Time includes stories, songs, and finger plays for infants and toddlers.

Stories and activities for children ages infant to 7 years old.  Large groups please call 838-4353 for an appointment.

Mah-jong players of every skill level are invited to join and play. The American version is used.

This group is geared for those who want to play (and even learn) the American version of Mah-jong, the traditional tile game established in China about 100 years ago. It meets (almost) every Tuesday in the A/V Conference Room.

Join us for our new program just for homeschoolers!  Parents will have the opportunity to request curriculum support resources while kids mingle and collaborate on a weekly STEM, art, or culinary activity.

The New Neighbor Project offers Citizenship Class on Tuesdays at the Rosedale Library, 4036 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson. The classes are free and are geared to prepare eligible permanent residents for the United States naturalization process.

Get moving with us as we take an outdoor walk in our backyard. 

In this class you will learn basic watercolor skills and complete a painting in 50 minutes. Step by step instructions will be given. Limited art supplies are provided (while supplies last) or bring your own supplies. Registration is required.

Join host, Samantha Hallenus, to share your script ideas and participate in a table read of her script, Dead or Alive.  We will meet at the table in the A/V Dept., 2nd floor, right outside of the Teen Dept.

Two internationally renowned performers – tenor Kelly W. Burns and pianist Nicholas Shaneyfelt, will perform at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.

Sheila Cao, a personal finances consultant based in New Orleans, will give a series of presentations on financial management at 7 p.m. all four Tuesdays in September 2024, at the Edith Lawson Westwego Library, 635 Fourth Avenue, Westwego.
