The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers an intermediate English as a Second Language class.

 Northstar Digital Learning is aimed at helping adults acquire the technology skills they desire in a low-pressure setting.

An informal group for all levels of crocheters. We are primarily a crochet group, but knitters are welcome.

The Read and Sing Story Time includes stories, songs, and finger plays for infants and toddlers.

This group is geared for those who want to play (and even learn) the American version of Mah-jong, the traditional tile game established in China about 100 years ago. It meets (almost) every Tuesday in the A/V Conference Room.

Always felt like you had two left feet? Come join us for free dance line dancing lessons that will teach you moves to impress your friends and family at the next wedding celebration.

The New Neighbor Project offers Citizenship Class on Tuesdays at the Rosedale Library, 4036 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson. The classes are free and are geared to prepare eligible permanent residents for the United States naturalization process.

Katheryn Krotzer Laborde, a professor of English at Xavier University of Louisiana, will discuss her new book Flannery O’Connor’s Manhattan, at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.
