The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers an intermediate English as a Second Language class.

Basic Drawing

Tuesdays 10-11:30 AM 

October 6, 13 , 20 and 27

Each class features a different presentation and individual instruction from a professional artist. 

Join us for Creative Connections, a welcoming and inclusive program designed for adults with developmental disabilities. Each session features engaging activities that encourage creativity, social interaction, and lifelong learning.

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers a general literacy from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week, except on holidays.

Monday Knitters meets from 1 to 3 p.m. each Monday. Bev Madere, Craft Yarn Council of America Master Knitter, facilitates this group of adult knitters. All level of skills welcomed; basic knitting skills taught to beginners.

Pam Ebel returns with a series of four classes that serve as a continuation of her popular course on writing and marketing the short story.

This class covers the fundamentals of Facebook.

Welcome back to our Community Homeschool Hour! No reservation required. Classes are geared toward ages 6 and up but our younger friends are welcome to join as well. Class is open until materials run out. 

A new crochet tutorial every month as well as space to work on your own projects. Working on a beading or jewelry project? Crocheting or knitting something cool?

CONTINUE?... Welcome to the second meeting of "Game Club!" Playstation 5, Chess, UNO, Monopoly, Scrabble, well known games and unknown games, made up games, gaming strategies, books, epic stories, and epic battles. Oh, and sometimes pizza!

Come test your knowledge of the Horror genre, with a game of Trivia at Rosedale Library.

Bring cuttings or full plants (1 or a few) and swap with other home gardeners. Indoor and outdoor plants are welcome!

Join us each Monday in October to watch a variety of family-friendly Halloween-themed movies! Coloring sheets will be provided.

Children under the age of 12 require adult supervision.

The New Neighbor Project will offer a series of in-person English as a Second Language classes. English as a second or foreign language is a language education program for people learning English.

This event will consist of an hour of one on one VR experience (only one person can register per session). This event is for adults, teens, and children ages 10 years old and up.

Preservationist Emily Ford will present the basics of cemetery material conservation, at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 27, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.
