Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

In these classes you will learn to accurately draw shapes, forms, light and shadow, and textures. The classes include a presentation, hands-on drawing and personal instruction.

The New Neighbor Project offers Citizenship Class on Tuesdays at the Rosedale Library, 4036 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson. The classes are free and are geared to prepare eligible permanent residents for the United States naturalization process.

In this class you will learn basic watercolor skills and complete a painting in 1 hour and 30 minutes. Step by step instructions will be given. Art supplies are provided or bring your own supplies. Registration is required.
