Join us for books, songs, and play! Our program starts with stories and songs before our weekly activity. This event is for toddlers and preschool children.

Join us at Live Oak Library for STORYTIME! Followed by crafts, competition, and sometimes pizza! Come for a new perspective, take a break from the heat, and fashion fun themed crafts to make it through summer. Materials provided. 

Settle in for a slow and whimsical cinematic escape with Animated Whispers, a cozy afternoon film series featuring beautifully animated stories full of magic, heart, and wonder.

Come garden with your neighbors and librarians as we work on our very first Community Garden! Learn what to grow and how to tend a vegetable and flower garden during this informal work hour. Open to all ages and experience levels. 

Want to have a nice family photo for your Christmas card? Choose from several preselected backgrounds and create a Christmas photo that you will love!

Want some STEMulating fun? Come join us for fun games and activities that are sure to challenge your child while having fun. Adult supervision is required for children under the age of 12. This event is for children 6 years old and up.

Join us for Arts & Crafts at the library! This event is for children ages 6-11 only. For more information, please call the Harahan Library at 504-736-8745.  LIMIT  8 Kids. Please register online.

Presented by the Visiting Pet Program, beginner or reluctant readers read aloud to animal assisted therapy dogs.

The Herdmans are six siblings who have a reputation for being the worst kids in the world. However, when they take over the local church pageant during the holidays, they just might teach a shocked community the true meaning of Christmas.
