Come garden with your neighbors and librarians as we work on our very first Community Garden! Learn what to grow and how to tend a vegetable and flower garden during this informal work hour. Open to all ages and experience levels. 

Come try your skill, invent, and experiment in our Lego Club targeted for ages 5 to 10! Legos provided for you so you do not need to bring Legos from home. Younger siblings are welcome. Larger Legos provided for younger siblings.

Join us for Lego Club at the library! Take the challenge and make a cool creation to be displayed in the library until the next meeting! Lego Club meets every first Saturday of the month. This event is for children ages 4 years old and up.

This event includes stories for children ages 3 to 7 years old.

Listen to a story read by one of our librarians and stay to do a fun craft together! This event is for children ages 3 to 10 years old. 

Join us for songs, stories and a craft in Arabic! For native speakers and those who want to learn. 

Join us for Family Board Games at the library! Ages 5+; Parental supervision required. Please call the Children’s Desk at (504) 364-3664 ahead for the latest information. Bringing a large group (10 or more children and adults)?

Join us for a creative LEGO building event at Wagner library! This event is perfect for kids who love to build and create with LEGO bricks. Large LEGOs will be provided for younger children.

Fleeing from the Evil Queen, Snow White finds refuge with Dopey, Bashful, Grumpy, Sneezy, Happy, Doc and Sleepy.

Presented by the Visiting Pet Program, beginner or reluctant readers read aloud to animal assisted therapy dogs. Please do not bring your personal pet! Parental supervision required.

Welcome back to our Community Homeschool Hour! No reservation required. Classes are geared toward ages 6 and up but our younger friends are welcome to join as well. Class is open until materials run out.
