Finding immigration records is the first step in finding where and when your family came to the United States--so that you can research your family history in other countries.

Ancestry.com is perhaps the main genealogy database that currently exists.  This lecture will focus on searching the database, using the library version of Ancestry.com as well as what the Ancestry.com website offers to subscribers.
