West Bank Regional Library's Storytime takes place every Tuesday at 11am, with a themed craft to follow. Recommended for children ages 3-5. Each week features a themed selection of books, songs, fingerplays, and more! 

Join us for books, songs, and play! Our program starts with stories and songs before our weekly activity and free play. Designed for children 18 months to 5 years old

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers a general literacy from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week, except on holidays.

This week we will learn about sharks and try out a shark buoyancy activity. Registration requested, younger siblings welcome. 

Come find out about the library’s amazing digital offerings and resources. You can try courses such as 3D design, business writing, and more through LinkedIn Learning or watch your favorite movies and TV shows on Hoopla and more.

All levels playing American mah-jong are welcome.

Take some time to hang out with your friends, have a snack, play some games and chill with your friends at Rosedale Library in the meeting room from 3:30pm-5:30pm on Tuesdays.

Come learn to make and decorate your own Pocky! These sweet Japanese biscuit sticks make an excellent treat. You can eat them in the teen center with us or bring some home to share.

This event is for Cricut owners who would like a space to work on their projects alongside other Cricut enthusiasts. Cricut-eers can socialize, learn from one another, and improve their skills together in Westwego's meeting room.

Take part in a table read and share your script ideas! Actors, readers, and writers are invited to submit materials. This event is open to the public and performers, with additional written works welcome. For ages 18+

Members of the JPL/Crescent City Stamp Club meet to discuss stamp collecting.

Cyril Lagvanec, PhD, the curator of the American-Italian Research Library located on the second floor of the East Bank Regional Library, will give a lecture on the history of United States Colored Troops, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb.

Local representatives from the American Association of Retired Persons help individuals with their taxes from Feb. 2 to April 14. Free of charge and open to the public. Appointments are required by going to aarpfoundation.org/taxes.

The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers an intermediate English as a Second Language class.

This event includes stories and activities for children newborn to 5 years old.

The “Read and Sing Storytime” includes stories, songs, and finger plays for infants and toddlers.
