In this class you will learn basic watercolor skills and complete a painting in one hour and a half. Step by step instructions will be given. Art supplies are provided or bring your own supplies. Registration is required.

Take part in a table read and share your script ideas! Actors, readers, and writers are invited to submit materials. This event is open to the public and performers, with additional written works welcome. For ages 18+

The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers an intermediate English as a Second Language class.

Join us and the Clear Head Adult Day Care for a craft or art project each week! Caretaker must be present. 

Read & Sing is a storytime featuring books and songs aimed at babies and toddler ages 0-3. Come read with us at West Bank Regional Library every Wednesday beginning at 11am. Playtime with library toys to follow. 

This gentle yoga class is given by Registered Yoga Teacher Peter Spera every Wednesday & Thursday at the Gretna Library. Spera has 20 years of experience in yoga. Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes.

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

"Tai Chi is a mind-body practice that originated in China as a martial art. This ancient exercise offers a range of physical and mental benefits.

This event includes stories and art activities for children ages 3 to 9 years old. Supplies are limited. 

New projects every month. Or you can ignore the projects and just watch a movie that we put on the big screen. Or you can ignore both and just talk with your friends. We don't mind. 

Join us for an Any Book Club. Choose any book from the genre--this month it's a Memoir or Biography . Read one and come ready to discuss it with the group.

Come play Hong Kong Mahjong at River Ridge Library! Free and open to the public. Beginners are welcome. 

We will play in the River Ridge library meeting room.

This Intro to Ballet class is for our youngest learners, ideally 3-5. Must be accompanied by a parent. Ballet slippers will be provided. Just wear comfy clothes and socks and get ready to twirl!

Learn the fundamentals of classical ballet in a relaxed but informative environment. We are here to take ballet seriously but not always take ourselves seriously. Get a workout in and learn something new in a comfortable, friendly environment.
