Join us for a gathering of sewists and crafters for charity.  Bring your own supplies and sewing machine. This isn't a class, but a gathering of people who are interested in creating items to donate to various charities.

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

Katie Mitchell, founder and president of CCC Firm and Business Source II, will lead a grant writing seminar from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.
