Let’s Make: DIY Affirmation Mirrors

An informal group for all levels of crocheters. We are primarily a crochet group, but knitters are welcome.

Brighten up your day and create handmade flowers from coffee filters!

We will also be screening Disney's Encanto during the craft!

Turn everyday items into a masterpiece! In this creative craft, you'll use found objects—buttons, beads, scraps, and more—to design unique artwork that tells a story. Mix textures, colors, and materials to create something truly one-of-a-kind.

Join us for an afternoon arts and crafts program. All children must have an adult 18+ in the library with them at all times. Snacks will be provided when available.

This week's theme is PERFORMING ARTS!

Join us every Tuesday @ 4 PM for instruction in the Fabric Arts. Our club's main focus will include: Crochet, Sewing, Knitting, Quilting, and Cross Stitch.

Bring your projects, your questions, your disasters and your triumphs, and share the love of making clothing with like-minded people in this discussion and support group for people who love to create clothing. 

Join us for a gathering of sewists and crafters for charity.  Bring your own supplies and sewing machine. This isn't a class, but a gathering of people who are interested in creating items to donate to various charities. 

Join us and the Clear Head Adult Day Care for a craft or art project each week! Caretaker must be present. 

This event is a casual crocheting group for adults. Come work on your crochet projects and enjoy a cup of our Library Blend coffee while you crochet and socialize with other fiber artists.

Join us at LOA for STORYTIME! Followed by crafts, competition, and sometimes pizza! Come for a new perspective, for summer reading points, and fun themed crafts to make it through this hot summer. Materials provided. 

Starting Stitches Quilt Club is a club for quilters of all levels We discuss new quilting related resources the library has to offer, such as magazines, Library of Things, and new books.

Memory Cafés are welcoming social gatherings for people living with changes in their memory or thinking, and the people who care about them.

Summer Reading Showcase is an exhibit featuring paintings, fiber arts and other crafts done by children and tweens over the course of the program. 

Join us for Arts & Crafts at the library! This event is for children ages 6-11. For more information, please call the Harahan Library at 504-736-8745. 

This event includes stories for children ages 3 to 7 years old.

Listen to a story read by one of our librarians and stay to do a fun craft together! This event is for children ages 3 to 10 years old. 

Join us for Lego Club at the library! Come and build with us! Meets on Saturdays. Ages 4+; Parental supervision required.
