The Crescent City Big Band performs a concert of standards from the Golden Age of Big Bands.

This event includes stories for children ages 0 to 5 years old. This event is held in the Children's area of Rosedale Library on Fridays at 10:30am.

Adult Basic Education Class
Build your reading, writing, and math skills for workforce success and high school equivalency (HiSET/GED) preparation. Open to adults of all skill levels.

Come garden with your neighbors and librarians as we work on our very first Community Garden! Learn what to grow and how to tend a vegetable and flower garden during this informal work hour. Open to all ages and experience levels. 

Join us for Chess Club! We welcome amateurs, novices, and dabblers of chess, who would like to play in a semi-competitive and/or social environment. No registration is required. We have chess sets and clocks available on a first-come basis.

This is a story time for children who are aged 5-7 years old. 1st and 2nd grade level children will visit us from Grand Isle School and the public who have children in this age group are invited to participate.

Local author Elisa M. Speranza will discuss the nuts and bolts of the book publishing process, with a special focus on alternative ways of getting your book into the world.
