Northstar Digital Learning is aimed at helping adults acquire the technology skills they desire in a low-pressure setting. This class takes what you learned in Part 1 and digs a little deeper.

Mah-jong is a tile-based game that was developed in the 19th century in China and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century. It is played by four players.

This event includes stories and crafts for school aged children (ages 6 to 11 years old.)

Looking for a fun, chill spot to hang out? Join us at the library for our Teen Café! Watch your favorite anime, play video and board games, get creative with crafts, and vibe with friends or meet new ones.

Join us for evening storytime, followed by a craft! Targeted for ages 3-7. 

Join us at Westwego for a night filled with creativity by creating unique collage art.

All supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring additional materials or canvases that you would like to use.

Bring out the family and join us for a festive holiday singalong with our ukulele students! Light holiday themed refreshments will be served. 

Come join us at River Ridge Library for an exciting and festive Christmas Murder Mystery Game in which participants solve a murder that happens during an ugly sweater contest.

FamilySearch.org is the largest free genealogy database currently and focuses on volunteers and their contributions.  It bases building your family tree on working together to add to and create a family tree that is worldwide.

Adult Basic Education Class
Build your reading, writing, and math skills for workforce success and high school equivalency (HiSET/GED) preparation. Open to adults of all skill levels.

Open sewing time with the Jefferson Parish sewing group. This meeting is not instructional, but questions are always welcome. 

Come garden with your neighbors and librarians as we work on our very first Community Garden! Learn what to grow and how to tend a vegetable and flower garden during this informal work hour. Open to all ages and experience levels. 

Gretna Book Club – The members of the book club meet from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. on the third Friday of each month. The following books will be read and discussed:

Join us for Chess Club! We welcome amateurs, novices, and dabblers of chess, who would like to play in a semi-competitive and/or social environment. No registration is required. We have chess sets and clocks available on a first-come basis.

This class covers setting up an email account (using Gmail) and the basics of composing, sending and receiving emails. We also discuss uploading and sending an attachment.

The purpose of the group is to encourage local writers to create works of fiction - novels, novellas, short stories, flash fiction, etc. Writers submit manuscripts to be critiqued by other group members.
