This event generally includes two presentations from local authors - one at 9:30 a.m. and the other at 11 a.m. - that focuses on some aspect of the writer's craft. Patrons of any writing skill may attend.

The group meets at 1 p.m. to discuss "Napoleon's Buttons: How 17 Molecules Changed History" by Penny Le Couteur and Jay Burreson. 

Open to all levels playing American mah-jong.

Join us for Chess Club! We welcome amateurs, novices, and dabblers of chess, who would like to play in a semi-competitive and/or social environment. No registration is required. We have chess sets and clocks available on a first-come basis.

Authors and historians Ed Branley and Derby Gisclair talk about “making groceries” at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 19 at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.
