Event Details
Android Phones 101 for Seniors is designed for seniors with limited smartphone experience. Participants will learn smartphone terminology and have hands-on experience with a senior guide (seniors guiding seniors). Small class size and small teacher to participant ratios ensure individualized attention in a non-intimidating environment.
This class covers the following:
- Learning vocabulary
- Security/safety tips
- 2-1 sessions with a senior guide
What you'll learn:
- Master the basics of Android: Turn on/off, navigate interfaces, and understand device settings.
- Communicate effectively: Make calls, send texts, and use email and messaging apps to stay connected.
- Utilize the internet: Browse the web, understand WiFi connections, and use search engines confidently.
- Solve common problems: Troubleshoot basic issues, understand notifications, and customize accessibility settings.
- Confidently manage apps: Install, update, and organize applications for personal or entertainment needs.
- Safeguard your device: Set up security features like screen lock, find my phone, and understand data backup.
- Capture and share moments: Use your smartphone's camera for photos and videos, and share them with family and friends.
