Local representatives from the American Association of Retired Persons help individuals with their taxes from Feb. 2 to April 14. Free of charge and open to the public.

AARP Tax Event: Please bring a picture ID and necessary tax documents.

An informal group for all levels of crocheters. We are primarily a crochet group, but knitters are welcome.

The Read and Sing Story Time includes stories, songs, and finger plays for infants and toddlers.

Read and Sing with Clearhead Day Center. A program specifically designed for adults with intellectual disabilities.

West Bank Regional Library's Storytime takes place every Tuesday at 11am, with a themed craft to follow. Recommended for children ages 3-5. Each week features a themed selection of books, songs, fingerplays, and more!

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers a general literacy from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week, except on holidays.

This week we'll make a polymer clay axolotl (or critter of your choice!) and learn about the axolotl life cycle. Registration requested, younger siblings welcome. 

Let your little ones practice basic mixing, measuring, and motor skills while doing learning to make an easy snack and becoming familiar with preparing food!

This Basic's Training is aimed at helping adults acquire the technology skills they desire in a low-pressure setting. Learners will practice how to use a mouse, locating and opening a program, as well as log off and shut off a computer properly.

Open to all levels playing American mah-jong.

Come to Teen Tuesdays at Rosedale Library, on Tuesdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm in the meeting room. Relax have a snack, hangout with your friends, play games and make crafts.

Don’t know what to do with all those extra beads? Come join us in the Teen Center to make them into art you can enjoy all year. All supplies are provided, but feel free to bring your own leftover Mardi Gras beads!

Join us every Tuesday @ 4 PM for instruction in the Fabric Arts. Our club's main focus will include: Crochet, Sewing, Knitting, Quilting, and Cross Stitch.
