You are cordially invited to don your tea party best, enjoy light refreshments, and join us for a wickedly fun discussion of the use of poison in classic and young adult literature with Ms. Amber Jurgensen, a PhD candidate in English at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. 

Some extra information, if it's needed for a short bio: Amber Jurgensen is a PhD candidate in English at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Amber's dissertation-in-progress focuses on poison and social class in Victorian literature. In her spare time, Amber is an avid reader and fiber artist, and she lives in Shreveport with her cats and fiancé, who is still thankfully willing to drink coffee with her despite her research material.
