Tom Meyer, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, a volunteer financial professional who is a regional speaker with the Association of Financial Educators, will lead a series of free financial education workshops for library patrons at both the East Bank Regional Library and the West Bank Regional Library,

This event is free of charge and open to the public. There is no registration.

The April workshop focuses on “Personal Financial Planning Essentials.” Topics include: Investing Basics; Understanding IRAs; College Planning; Budgeting; Social Security; Cash Management; 401K and Retirement; Estate Planning; and others. The workshops last from 30-45 minutes.

AFE is a 504(c)(3) nonprofit association of financial professionals who donate their time to give back to the community. The organization works directly with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a federal government agency that regulates the financial sectors of the U.S. as well as helps promote financial education for all Americans. The organization’s advisers do not sell or endorse any product or service of any kind during the workshops.
