Event Details

The East Bank Regional Library, located at 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie, will host the Ninth Edition of Saturday Scrabble from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22. 

The event consists of the following:

  • A fully rated seven-game North American Scrabble Player’s Association tournament.  NWL2023 dictionary will be used. Pairings and divisions will be determined by the director when registration is closes on November 19. No walk-ins for the Main Event. Players must bring boards, tiles, clocks and score sheets.   Players much be a member of NASPA in order to play.  For registration please go to www.cross-tables.com. There will be a 30 minute lunch break. Lunch options may be accessed via the flyer.  There is no time for tournament players to leave the facility for lunch.
  • A School Scrabble tournament. The number of games will be determined by the number of teams.  Children aged 8-13 compete in pairs.  NSWL2023 dictionary will be used.
  • A three-game newcomer event which is offered to interested library patrons from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  After the tourney, players may participant in open play.

Check in begins at 9 a.m. Clocks in all events start at 9:30 a.m.
