Learn the fundamentals of classical ballet in a relaxed but informative environment. We are here to take ballet seriously but not always take ourselves seriously. Get a workout in and learn something new in a comfortable, friendly environment.

Looking for a fun, chill spot to hang out? Join us at the library for our Teen Café! Watch your favorite anime, play video and board games, get creative with crafts, and vibe with friends or meet new ones.

We strive to share what we know and proudly fail at what we don't. We are not in the pursuit of perfection, but of making true art.

Join us for evening storytime, followed by a craft! Targeted for ages 3-7. 

Get ready to celebrate Mardi Gras with a creative twist! Join us for a hands-on library program where participants will assemble their own festive Mardi Gras mask using a Cricut machine.

Join Westwego's crochet club for our February meeting as we make heart-shaped mug rugs to commemorate Valentine's Day!

All skill levels are welcome, and all supplies will be provided.

Classic Movie Evening: The Treasure of the Sierra Madre

This event includes stories for children ages 0 to 5 years old. This event is held in the Children's area of Rosedale Library on Fridays at 10:30am.

Memory Café is a welcoming place for adults who want to stay social and keep their minds active—including those experiencing memory changes and their care partners.

Adult Basic Education Class
Build your reading, writing, and math skills for workforce success and high school equivalency (HiSET/GED) preparation. Open to adults of all skill levels.

Come garden with your neighbors and librarians as we work on our very first Community Garden! Learn what to grow and how to tend a vegetable and flower garden during this informal work hour. Open to all ages and experience levels. 

Join us for Chess Club! We welcome amateurs, novices, and dabblers of chess, who would like to play in a semi-competitive and/or social environment. No registration is required. We have chess sets and clocks available on a first-come basis.

Come try your skill, invent, and experiment in our Lego Club targeted for ages 5 to 10! Legos provided for you so you do not need to bring Legos from home. Younger siblings are welcome. Larger Legos provided for younger siblings.

Visit River Ridge Library and play some of the latest and exciting video games during Video Game Hour.

Introduction to sitting and walking Zen meditation. Please bring a cushion to sit on.

Please joins us at North Kenner Library for free play backgammon and chess! All ages.

If you are interested in learning the game of Mahjong, but are intimidated by the fast pace of traditional Mahjong clubs, then come join us for a relaxed learning experience.

Want some STEMulating fun? Come join us for fun games and activities that are sure to challenge your child while having fun. Adult supervision is required for children under the age of 12. This event is for children 6 years old and up.

Join us for Lego Club at the library! Take the challenge and make a cool creation to be displayed in the library until the next meeting! Lego Club meets every first Saturday of the month. This event is for children ages 4 years old and up.

Join us for books, songs, and play! This event is for toddlers and preschool children.

This event includes stories for children ages 3 to 7 years old.

Listen to a story read by one of our librarians and stay to do a fun craft together! This event is for children ages 3 to 10 years old.
