The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers an intermediate English as a Second Language class.

The purpose of the group is to encourage local writers to create works of fiction - novels, novellas, short stories, flash fiction, etc. Writers submit manuscripts to be critiqued by other group members.

This Basic's Training is aimed at helping adults acquire the technology skills they desire in a low-pressure setting. Learners will practice how to use a mouse, locating and opening a program, as well as log off and shut off a computer properly.

Playtime at the library! Informal play and social time for children 0-5 years. Toys will be provided.

Join us for books, songs, and play! Our program starts with stories and songs before our weekly activity. This event is for toddlers and preschool children.

Join us to kick off Hispanic Heritage month with a celebration and resource fair! Presented in collaboration with the Tulane Latin American Resource Center.

Welcome back to Homeschooler Hour! We will be starting off the fall by making DIY Lava Lamps. For ages 5 & up, younger siblings welcome. Registration requested to ensure there are enough supplies for everyone.

Looking for a fun, chill spot to hang out? Join us at the library for our Teen Café! Watch your favorite anime, play video and board games, get creative with crafts, and vibe with friends or meet new ones.

Grab your dice and join the adventure! Teens ages 13–18 are invited to take part in epic quests, battle mythical creatures, and unleash their creativity during our Dungeons & Dragons sessions. No experience needed—just bring your imagination!

Continue your progress from Ukulele Lessons or jump into an intermediate group where we'll learn finger picking patterns and songs with more advanced chords and faster tempos!

Bruce Spizer, a New Orleans-based lawyer and internationally recognized expert on the Beatles will discuss his latest book Beatles For Sale to Help!, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W.

The World War II Discussion Group, headed by local teacher and historian Brian Altobello, meets the first Thursday of every month. Speakers focus on the events of the 1930s and 1940s. Free and open to the public; registration is not required.
