Want to create simple, polished videos but not sure where to start? Join us for Basic Video Editing! This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners who want to learn the essentials of editing videos for personal projects, social media, school, or work.

We’ll cover the basics of using Canva Video Editor, a free and user-friendly video editing tool available on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android devices.

You’ll learn how to:
✔ Import and organize your video clips and photos
✔ Trim, split, and combine clips
✔ Add text, transitions, and effects
✔ Incorporate music and voiceovers
✔ Export and share your final project

No prior video editing experience is needed — just bring your creativity! Computer access will be provided (or feel free to bring your own laptop, phone, or tablet).

Please note you will need a Jefferson Parish Library card to access our computers and a free Canva account to access the editor.

Who should attend: Teens and adults (ages 13+)
Duration: 2 hours
Registration: No registration required. However, 12 spots are available for each class on a first come first seated basis.
