The IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) programs is partnering with Community Housing Education Center (CHEC) to offer free basic tax return preparation to qualifying individuals. Individuals must
- have income $67,000 or less
- have no rental property or farm income
- have a picture ID
- have social security card(s)
The tax preparers are IRS-certified. This tax preparation is completely free. You can file prior years, 2019-current.
