Program Description

Event Details

Bromeliads, with their rigid and often colorful rosettes combined with futuristic looking flowers, are one of the more fascinating houseplants. Bromeliads need to mimic their native climate range and weather. Their care also hinges upon how the plant gathers moisture and nutrients in the wild. The Greater New Orleans Bromeliad Society meets on the last Tuesday of each month – except December and January. Speakers focus on soil, light, temperature, fertilizer, and water. Newcomers are welcome.

Not to be confused with a separate organization – River Ridge Bromeliad Society which meets on the first Thursday of every month. The members of these groups know each other and collaborate.
