River Ridge Bromeliad Society

Bromeliads (Bromeliaceae genera) are tropical-looking epiphytes that are easy to care for in average home conditions. Bromeliads are known for their beautiful multicolored foliage in red, green, purple, orange, and yellow, some including bands, stripes, spots, and other features. The River Ridge Bromeliad Society meets the first Thursday of each month – except December and January. Speakers focus on soil, light, temperature, fertilizer, and water. Newcomers are welcome. 

Not to be confused with a separate organization – Greater New Orleans Bomeliad Society which meets the last Tuesday of each month. The members of these groups know each other and collaborate.
