During Summer Reading, River Ridge Library will take you, children between 4-12 years old, on an exciting creative color adventure.  Your adventure starts June 2nd and ends July 26th. Here is how your adventure will take place.

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

Pam Ebel, a long-time writer and reader of fiction, will present “Long Story Short – Why and How to Write and Market Short Stories,” from 1 to 3:30 p.m., on three Monday afternoons: June 16, June 30, and July 14, at the East Bank Regional Library,

Monday Knitters meets from 1 to 3 p.m. each Monday. Bev Madere, Craft Yarn Council of America Master Knitter, facilitates this group of adult knitters. All level of skills welcomed; basic knitting skills taught to beginners.

Whether you’re a competitive player or just happy to play and enjoy a social chat, this club is a great place to get to know others and take part in a good game of Scrabble! The club meets every third Monday.

Create your own marble paper for postcards with this fun craft at the West Bank Regional Teen Center! All supplies provided, first-come, first-serve. This program is strictly for ages 12 and up.

The New Neighbor Project, in conjunction with the Jefferson Parish Library, will offer HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) sessions from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Mondays, at the Rosedale Library, 4036 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson.

The New Neighbor Project will offer a series of in-person English as a Second Language classes. English as a second or foreign language is a language education program for people learning English.

This event will consist of an hour of one on one VR experience (only one person can register per session). This event is for adults, teens, and children ages 10 years old and up.
