Come garden with your neighbors and librarians as we work on our very first Community Garden! Learn what to grow and how to tend a vegetable and flower garden during this informal work hour. Open to all ages and experience levels. 

Join us for Chess Club! We welcome amateurs, novices, and dabblers of chess, who would like to play in a semi-competitive and/or social environment. No registration is required. We have chess sets and clocks available on a first-come basis.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will conduct a boating safety class beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, at the North Kenner Library, 630 W. Esplanade, Kenner.

The Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc, producers of the annual Joan of Arc Parade, will host its annual free conference about Joan of Arc, medieval history, local French culture, and Catholic culture from 9:30 to 1:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct.

Love to play Mahjong but don't have a Mahjong set?  Grab a few friends and drop by the library and play awhile. We have Mahjong sets available for use in the library.    No instruction will be offered.  

Join us for a painting workshop for all ages and skill levels. All supplies provided. This month's activity will be themed around Fall.

Join us for Lego Club at the library! Take the challenge and make a cool creation to be displayed in the library until the next meeting! Lego Club meets every other Saturday. This event is for children ages 4 years old and up. 

This even includes stories and crafts for school aged children (ages 6 to 11 years old).
