This gentle yoga class is given by Registered Yoga Teacher Peter Spera every Wednesday & Thursday at the Gretna Library. Spera has 20 years of experience in yoga. Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes.

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

"Tai Chi is a mind-body practice that originated in China as a martial art. This ancient exercise offers a range of physical and mental benefits.

This event includes stories and art activities for children ages 3 to 9 years old. Supplies are limited. 

New projects every month. Or you can ignore the projects and just watch a movie that we put on the big screen. Or you can ignore both and just talk with your friends. We don't mind.

The Old Metairie Library’s SciFi and Fantasy Discussion Group meets at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of each month, except for holidays, at the Old Metairie Library, 2350 Metairie Road.

Come play Hong Kong Mahjong at River Ridge Library! Free and open to the public. Beginners are welcome. 

We will play in the River Ridge library meeting room. 

This Spanish classes is geared toward younger learners but open to all ages. There will be portions of each lesson for different age ranges to accommodate as many levels of learners as we can.

This Intro to Ballet class is for our youngest learners, ideally 3-5. Must be accompanied by a parent. Ballet slippers will be provided. Just wear comfy clothes and socks and get ready to twirl!

Learn the fundamentals of classical ballet in a relaxed but informative environment. We are here to take ballet seriously but not always take ourselves seriously. Get a workout in and learn something new in a comfortable, friendly environment.

Looking for a fun, chill spot to hang out? Join us at the library for our Teen Café! Watch your favorite anime, play video and board games, get creative with crafts, and vibe with friends or meet new ones.

This event includes stories for children ages 0 to 5 years old. This event is held in the Children's area of Rosedale Library on Fridays at 10:30am.

Adult Basic Education Class
Build your reading, writing, and math skills for workforce success and high school equivalency (HiSET/GED) preparation. Open to adults of all skill levels.

Come garden with your neighbors and librarians as we work on our very first Community Garden! Learn what to grow and how to tend a vegetable and flower garden during this informal work hour. Open to all ages and experience levels. 

Love to play Mahjong but don't have a Mahjong set?  Grab a few friends and drop by the library and play awhile. We have Mahjong sets available for use in the library.

This event includes stories for children ages 3 to 7 years old.

Listen to a story read by one of our librarians and stay to do a fun craft together! This event is for children ages 3 to 10 years old. 

Join us for Lego Club at Rosedale library! Take the challenge and make a cool creation to be displayed in the library until the next Lego Club.
