Join us and the Clear Head Adult Day Care for a craft or art project each week! Caretaker must be present. 

This event is a casual crocheting group for adults. Come work on your crochet projects and enjoy a cup of our Library Blend coffee while you crochet and socialize with other fiber artists.

This event includes stories and art activities for children ages 3 to 9 years old. We will be reading a book on different types of homes. Supplies are limited. 

Craft: Painting a Wooden House!

Come hang out and craft! This month we will be crocheting; no previous crochet knowledge needed! Each month we will provide materials and instructions for a new craft activity.

Tweens ages 8-11 can use salt to create a textured watercolor painting!

A social group and open time for fiber arts enthusiasts. Come visit and sew, knit, crochet, embroider, or work on any other craft in our Jefferson Room. (EBR Makerspace program)

This is a space to make and share your own comics! Learn supa easy tricks to make cool drawings! Get your ideas out of your brain and onto paper! Be messy, chase failure- it's more fun that way!

"Let the Good Times Roll" at the library! Paintedwitlove's Brittani Landry is a Jazz & Heritage Community Partnership Grant recipient, and she’s agreed to give art classes for kids for Jefferson Parish Library! Ages 9 to 12.

Come try your skill, invent, and experiment in our Lego Club targeted for ages 5 to 10! Legos provided for you so you do not need to bring Legos from home. Younger siblings are welcome. Larger Legos provided for younger siblings.

January is Jane Austen's 250th Birthday Celebration month at Jefferson Parish Library! Join us for an array of events across multiple library branches to honor the life, times, and legacy of a treasured author. 

Join us at Westwego to make pixel-perfect perler bead art! This month, as part of our celebration of Jane Austen, we'll fuse perler beads to look like books.

All supplies will be provided. Children 11 and under need adult supervision.

Celebrate the life of novelist Jane Austen by joining us at Old Metairie Library for a two-hour calligraphy class taught by professional calligrapher Debbie Fleming. This class is appropriate for teens and adults. All supplies will be provided.
