The Jefferson Parish Library’s Annual Genealogy Fair features representatives from the genealogical and heritage societies from the greater New Orleans area will occur from 10 a.m.to 1 p.m on Saturday, Jan.

Join us for Lego Club at the library! Take the challenge and make a cool creation to be displayed in the library until the next meeting! Lego Club meets every other Saturday. This event is for children ages 4 years old and up. 

Come garden alongside the Golden Gardeners as we work on our very first Community Garden! Learn what to grow and how to tend a vegetable and flower garden during this informal work hour. Open to all ages and experience levels. 

Listen to a story read by one of our librarians and stay to do a fun craft together! This event is for children ages 3 to 10 years old.

Hands-on activities for homeschoolers! For ages 5 & up, younger siblings are welcome. This month, we'll create holiday cards for senior living facilities, make pinecone gnomes, and try out holiday playdoh! 

Let your little ones practice basic mixing, measuring, and motor skills while doing learning to make an easy snack and becoming familiar with preparing food!

Join us at the Grand Isle Library for weekly Bingo games! Every Tuesday @ 2:00pm. Have fun and win prizes. Adults only.

This group is geared for those who want to play (and even learn) the American version of Mah-jong, the traditional tile game established in China about 100 years ago. It meets (almost) every Tuesday in the A/V Conference Room.

The New Neighbor Project will offer a series of in-person English as a Second Language classes. English as a second or foreign language is a language education program for people learning English.

Nora Wetzel, a local chef and entrepreneur, talks about the food consumed by locals at the time of the War of 1812. She will prepare a dish to be sampled; dish to be determined. More information to come.
