Week Calendar

An informal group for all levels of crocheters. We are primarily a crochet group, but knitters are welcome.

Join us and the Clear Head Adult Day Care for a craft or art project each week! Caretaker must be present. 

Open stitching time in our meeting room! Feel free to use our sewing machines, rulers, cutting tools, yarn, and more to create your own work of art. 

Come try your skill, invent, and experiment in our Lego Club targeted for ages 5 to 10! Legos provided for you so you do not need to bring Legos from home. Younger siblings are welcome. Larger Legos provided for younger siblings.

A Mardi Gras themed painting project for all skill levels and ages.

This event includes stories for children ages 3 to 7 years old.

Calling all homeschool families! Each session will include a lesson, an advanced experiment for the kids 7 and up, a storytime and craft for kids 6 and younger, and a separate space for parents to collaborate and share resources.

Listen to a story read by one of our librarians and stay to do a fun craft together! This event is for children ages 3 to 10 years old.

Join us for Lego Club at the library! Come and build with us! Meets on Saturdays. Ages 4+; Parental supervision required.

Monday Knitters meets from 1 to 3 p.m. each Monday. Bev Madere, Craft Yarn Council of America Master Knitter, facilitates this group of adult knitters. All level of skills welcomed; basic knitting skills taught to beginners.

This series will guide students through the process of creating their very own sculpture. Subjects for the sculpture will be Louisianan wildlife of their choosing, and we will learn about the subjects from local wildlife experts!

Join us for STEAM activities in this homeschooler-friendly program. For ages 5 & up, younger siblings are welcome. This month, we'll make dino eggs, fruit pizza on a cookie, and more! 

Join us for a Mardi Gras party for all ages, with crafting, music, and king cake! Create your own shoebox float., then join us in parading them around the library!  Use our supplies, or bring some of your own.

This event includes stories and art activities for children ages 3 to 9 years old. Supplies are limited.

Craft: Water Microscope. Create your own microscope using a paper cup and other materials. 

Come learn about drawing! Animals, Disney Princesses, Frozen. We'll have books to check out on how to draw your favorite characters and will learn to focus on specifics and subtleties of a good sketch!
