Love to play Mahjong but don't have a Mahjong set?  Grab a few friends and drop by the library and play awhile. We have Mahjong sets available for use in the library.    No instruction will be offered. 

Come and have fun! Learn to play chess, a game that is played all over the world and that dates back more than a thousand years to Ancient India.  Learn the basic moves and strategies! No knowledge of chess is needed.

This event includes stories for children ages 3 to 7 years old.

Listen to a story read by one of our librarians and stay to do a fun craft together! This event is for children ages 3 to 10 years old. 

Bring your kids to learn something new. Dance with us!  Come and learn a Bollywood Dance routine.  Dance to lively music and learn something new. This program is fro kids ages 5-12 years old.

Come try your skill, invent, and experiment in our new Lego Club targeted for ages 5 to 10. LEGOs will be provided for you so you don’t need to bring LEGOs from home. Lego Club is first come, first serve; while supplies last.

The group meets at 1 p.m. to discuss "Dark Matter and the Dinosaur: The Astounding Interconnectedness of the Universe" by Lisa Randall. 

Pianist Richard Dowling and cellist Evan Drachman will perform at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.

Join us for Creative Connections, a welcoming and inclusive program designed for adults with developmental disabilities. Each session features engaging activities that encourage creativity, social interaction, and lifelong learning.

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.
