Flavors of Health is a nutrition education and health program with a community focus. Our program serves Louisiana’s adults, promoting healthful diets and positive lifestyles to prevent or manage chronic disease and to improve quality of life.

The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers an intermediate English as a Second Language class.

Monday Knitters meets from 1 to 3 p.m. each Monday. Bev Madere, Craft Yarn Council of America Master Knitter, facilitates this group of adult knitters. All level of skills welcomed; basic knitting skills taught to beginners.

Whether you’re a competitive player or just happy to play and enjoy a social chat, this club is a great place to get to know others and take part in a good game of Scrabble! The club meets every third Monday.

This event will consist of an hour of one on one VR experience (only one person can register per session). This event is for adults, teens, and children ages 10 years old and up.

Stories and activities for children ages 0-7 years old.  

This group is geared for those who want to play (and even learn) the American version of Mah-jong, the traditional tile game established in China about 100 years ago. It meets (almost) every Tuesday in the A/V Conference Room.

This gentle yoga class is given by Registered Yoga Teacher Peter Spera every Wednesday & Thursday at the Gretna Library. Spera has 20 years of experience in yoga. Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes.

This event includes stories for children ages 0 to 5 years old. This event is held in the Children's area.

Come play Dominos at River Ridge Library, third Wednesday of the month. Adults only.

The New Neighbor Project will offer a series of in-person beginner English as a Second Language classes.  Class is from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursdays.  Classes are for adults and focus on beginner English vocabulary and grammar.

Introduction to sitting and walking Zen meditation. Please bring a cushion to sit on.
