The New Neighbor Project will offer a series of in-person English as a Second Language classes. English as a second or foreign language is a language education program for people learning English.

Ed Branley, a former high school history teacher and self-described history fanatic, will discuss the Royal Blue Line, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.

Two food/cocktail demonstrations at the Jefferson Parish Library – one on each bank of the river – will occur during the month of August.
