Week Calendar

The World War II Discussion Group, headed by local teacher and historian Brian Altobello, meets the first Thursday of every month. Speakers focus on the events of the 1930s and 1940s. Free and open to the public; registration is not required.

Learn about different community resources. Topics will include: 

 Computer and Technology Literacy; Navigating Healthcare; Food, Shelter, and Legal Resources; and Educational and Employment Opportunities.

The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with The New Neighbor Project, offers a beginner English as a Second Language class.

The New Neighbor Project will offer a series of in-person English as a Second Language classes. English as a second or foreign language is a language education program for people learning English.

The Pontchartrain Astronomy Society was founded in 1959 and currently has a roster of nearly 150 members from South Louisiana and South Mississippi.
