January is Jane Austen's 250th Birthday Celebration month at Jefferson Parish Library! Join us for an array of events across multiple library branches to honor the life, times, and legacy of a treasured author. 

Come try your skill, invent, and experiment in our new Lego Club targeted for ages 5 to 10. LEGOs will be provided for you so you don’t need to bring LEGOs from home. Lego Club first comes, first serve, while supplies last.

The Jefferson Parish Library, in conjunction with YMCA New Orleans, offers an intermediate English as a Second Language class.

Please join us for chair yoga led by Jefferson Parish Nutrition and Community Health Agent Elisabet Trujillo. This program is free and open to the public. No registration required. 

Join us for Creative Connections, a welcoming and inclusive program designed for adults with developmental disabilities. Each session features engaging activities that encourage creativity, social interaction, and lifelong learning.

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

Come join us at the Jefferson Parish Library - Lakeshore Library for our fun and relaxing Crochet Club! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come and work on their projects together.

Come to Rosedale Library and focus on fitness.  Let's move together!  This program includes dance, chair exercises and stretching.

Monday Knitters meets from 1 to 3 p.m. each Monday. Bev Madere, Craft Yarn Council of America Master Knitter, facilitates this group of adult knitters. All level of skills welcomed; basic knitting skills taught to beginners.

This class covers the fundamentals of Facebook.

Welcome back to our Community Homeschool Hour! No reservation required. Classes are geared toward ages 6 and up but our younger friends are welcome to join as well. Class is open until materials run out. 

A new crochet tutorial every month as well as space to work on your own projects. Working on a beading or jewelry project? Crocheting or knitting something cool?

This event is for sewers who would like a space to work on their projects alongside other enthusiasts. Socialize, learn from one another, and improve your skills together in Westwego's meeting room.

The LSU Master Gardeners meeting always features speakers who provide tips and techniques about gardening in the Deep South. The group is especially focused on native plants.
