Read & Sing: Early Literacy Fun (Ages 0–3)

Join us for a creative and interactive LEGO building event at Wagner library! This event is perfect for kids who love to build and create with LEGO bricks.

Join us for books, songs, and play! Our program starts with stories and songs before our weekly activity. Followed by playtime! 

Read & Sing is a storytime featuring books and songs aimed at babies and toddler ages 0-3. Come read with us at West Bank Regional Library every Wednesday beginning at 11am. Playtime with library toys to follow. 

This gentle yoga class is given by Registered Yoga Teacher Peter Spera every Wednesday & Thursday at the Gretna Library. Spera has 20 years of experience in yoga. Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes.

Adult Literacy – YMCA Literary Services will hold adult literacy classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Belle Terre Library, 5550 Belle Terre Road.

Come learn how to line dance! Whether you're a beginner or you've been dancing for awhile, our line dancing classes are for everyone. Wear anything that is comfortable to dance in!

This event is a casual crocheting group for adults. Come work on your crochet projects and enjoy a cup of our Library Blend coffee while you crochet and socialize with other fiber artists.

This event includes stories and art activities for children ages 3 to 9 years old. Supplies are limited. 

New projects every month. Or you can ignore the projects and just watch a movie that we put on the big screen. Or you can ignore both and just talk with your friends. We don't mind. 

This event is for players, experienced and new, to join adventures across different continents, fighting different villains, saving town’s people and slaying some dragons!

The New Neighbor Project will offer a series of in-person English as a Second Language classes. English as a second or foreign language is a language education program for people learning English.

Fledgling comic Benjy Stone (Mark Linn-Baker) can't believe his luck when his childhood hero, the swashbuckling matinee idol Alan Swann (Peter O'Toole), gets booked to appear on the variety show he writes for.

The Old Metairie Library’s SciFi and Fantasy Discussion Group meets at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of each month, except for holidays, at the Old Metairie Library, 2350 Metairie Road.

Steve Scaffidi, a writer, filmmaker and local bon vivant, will discuss his new book Life in 18 Holes, Official Scorecard, at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.

Come play Hong Kong Mahjong at River Ridge Library! Free and open to the public. Beginners are welcome.

This Intro to Ballet class is for our youngest learners, ideally 3-5. Must be accompanied by a parent. Ballet slippers will be provided. Just wear comfy clothes and socks and get ready to twirl!
